Xiaomi is launching Redmi Note 8, Note 8 Pro with 64MP camera

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro launched in China on Thursday, 29 August 2019. Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Jain has confirmed that the Redmi Note 8 series India launch will take some time, as long as two months. It is expected that the Chinese models of the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro will come to India. The Redmi Note 8 series will likely come to India after the Diwali. Redmi Note 8 Indian model to come with Snapdragon 665 SoC and Redmi Note 8 Pro with MediaTek Helio G90T processor.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro is a much-upgraded version of the Redmi Note 8 in almost every aspect possible. Be it screen, hardware, cameras, battery, or any other feature. The Redmi Note 8 Pro is also costly than the Redmi Note 8 and it makes sense that considering the Pro version is more powerful in almost every way. Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro specifications

The Redmi Note 8 comes with a 6.39-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. The Redmi Note 8 comes with quad cameras on the back panel. It includes a primary 48MP Samsung GM1 sensor with f/1.79 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens (covers120-degree), and 2MP Macro lens. On the front, the Redmi Note 8 comes with 13MP selfie shooter. The phone is backed by a 4000mAh battery with support of 18W fast charging. The phone runs MIUI 10 based on Android 9 Pie.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a 6.53-inch FHD+ display and it offers 91.94 percent screen-to-body ratio. Both the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro sport premium design with 3D curved glass. For their respective price, the Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 look stunning. Both phones come in three colors.

Both the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro come with quad-camera setup on the back panel and single on the front. The Redmi Note 8 is the world’s first MediaTek Helio G90T chipset powered smartphone. In India, the phone is said to come with the MediaTek chipset too. The Redmi Note 8 uses Snapdragon 665 processor.

Another key highlight of the Redmi Note 8 Pro is its camera. The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes packed with a 64MP primary camera on the back. This is the first smartphone to launch with 64MP Samsung GW1 camera sensor. The Redmi Note 8 comes with 48MP Samsung GM1 image sensor.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with big 4500mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The 18W charger will come bundled with the box, the company confirms. The Redmi Note 8 also comes with 18W fast charging support but wih a 4000mAh battery.
